I can give this area a strong voice on the council, because Southwick is very much part of who I am. I am now bringing up a family of my own in the area and often take my two year old son, Eli, to play groups at Austin House and Thompson Park Community Centre.

I work at the Sunderland office of the PDSA animal charity, based on North Hylton Road and have a passion for helping others. I will bring that passion to the council as I fight our corner, improving our community.

I am from Southwick and I share the same hopes and concerns for the area as those who live there – residents’ local problems are my problems too, and I will stand up and give Southwick a strong voice.

I believe people want their representatives to really listen to them and take action to make their community and lives better. I promise to do that.
