Sunderland Labour Group would like to thank you for 70 years of unwavering, monumental service to our great nation.

Speaking following Her Majesty’s passing, Cllr Phil Tye, Chair of Sunderland Labour Group, said: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Her Majesty the Queen, who has dedicated her entire life to serving the people of Britain and the Commonwealth.

“During her 70-year reign, she has embodied everything that is truly great about Britain, Including her steadfast loyalty to the philanthropy which, has seen her provide care and protection for millions of people across the globe.

“She will be sorely missed and I think I speak for the entire Labour Group when I say she has truly shaped humanity for the better and her lasting impact on the world will live long through generations to come.”
