We are proud today – and every day – of Sunderland’s LGBTQ+ community.
We are a party that believes in inclusivity – that everyone should be proud of their individuality. The LGBTQ+ community enriches our party, bringing new perspectives shaped by lived-experience and helping Labour to understand and tackle head-on the stigma that many in the LGBTQ+ community face.
That’s why we are proud to continue our longstanding support for the Pride event, and for the movement it represents. We wish everyone a happy Sunderland Pride Festival!
