I have been proud to represent Sandhill ward since its formation in 2004.

Together with the rest of the Sandhill Labour team, Councillor Debra Waller and Bridget Phillipson MP, I have been knocking on doors and delivering newsletters seeking residents’ views and keeping you updated on matters in the ward and Sunderland in general.

We also hold regular weekly surgeries, which I attend, to allow members of the local community to raise any concerns and ask any questions.  I’m also available by post, telephone and email.  A number of our residents have been in contact with me over the years and I have tried my upmost to resolve any problems whenever possible.

Recently I have been aware that because of reductions in council funding, we have not been able to keep the city as clean and tidy as we would all like, and I have worked hard to secure an extra £1.5 million a year to be spent on keeping Sunderland’s streets cleaner.

I would like the opportunity to be able to continue to represent Sandhill ward, working hard for the residents of Sandhill and Sunderland.
